In-home Supports

“The Residential Technicians we have had from ROI have made all the difference in my son Nic’s ability to move into the next part of his life…the young adult part. As is age appropriate, he no longer wants to spend time with his family, but his communication skills and judgment are such that getting him into activities outside of the home with people his own age is very complicated. For adults who wish to remain at home with their families, ROI offers in-home staff to assist individuals in caring for themselves. Residential Technicians support a range of independent living skills, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADL’s) from personal care and hygiene to household chores and tasks. Staff members implement each consumer’s individual treatment plan and promote therapeutic goals designed to improve targeted areas including socialization, communication, and sensory-motor function.

In-home support staff encourages individuals to take part in community-based activities. One of the primary objectives is to facilitate access to the community at-large, helping clients to engage in age-appropriate social activities. ROI has developed partnerships with community agencies that ensure opportunities for inclusion and hosts a variety of events throughout the year.
